Public Disco's annual Pride celebration takes over an industrial Mount Pleasant laneway and adjacent parking lots for an open air celebration of queer dance music. Aug 3.
The Vancouver Dyke March and Festival aims to create space and visibility for individuals marginalized on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, abilities, class, immigration status, or age, and who may not always feel represented by the larger Pride movement. Aug 3.
Through a diverse lineup of events, workshops, and performances, SHAME aims to foster inclusivity, empower marginalized voices, and inspire critical dialogue on the role of art in societal discourse. Aug 1-5.
